The Caribbean

Jamaica, a vibrant Caribbean island known for its rich culture, reggae music, beautiful beaches (like Seven Mile Beach), and jerk cuisine, is the third-largest island in the Greater Antilles, offering a blend of African and European influences in its history, traditions, and "Out of Many, One People" motto, with Kingston as its capital and English as its official language.

Poised between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay on the island's northern coast, it's most known for offering the best of Jamaica's activities, from horseback riding through the water to relaxing on the white-sand beaches, to exploring historic sites and natural wonders.

The prominent white church in Falmouth, Jamaica, is St. Peter's Anglican Church, the town's oldest public building (built 1795-96), known for its solid brick/stone construction, classical vernacular style, tall bell tower, and historical significance as a center for Anglican worship and community life, standing near its old cemetery.

Dunn's River Falls & Park, near Ocho Rios (a short trip from Falmouth), is Jamaica's iconic terraced waterfall where visitors climb the 180-foot cascade, holding hands in human chains led by guides, navigating slippery rocks into cool pools, offering a fun, wet, team-building experience with great photo ops, culminating in a beach and craft market, requiring water shoes for safety and making for an exhilarating, must-do Jamaican adventure. We enjoyed a nice lunch.
