Mostar is a city in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, straddling the Neretva River. It’s known for the iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge), a reconstructed medieval arched bridge. Built in the 16th century, the iconic old bridge has a diving tradition that stretches back 450 years. We were there for the 2018 Cliff Diving World Series. We're posting pictures of the bridge and a cliff dive. We also visited the car-free area of Muslim Mostar where the Turkish shops are located. In this part of town you can find many artisans selling their traditional handicrafts from the little shops by the side of the street. There are several interesting copper items and beautiful carpets, as well as clothes, scarves, jewelry, pipes and nargilehs. The car-free area of Mostar is also the oldest and luckily, most intact part of town.
